The University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine invites you to join us for the Midwest’s first and only regional conference designed exclusively for animal rescues and shelters. Whether you’re a part-time volunteer, executive director, foster coordinator, or shelter veterinarian, we have sessions for all levels of engagement that will offer cutting-edge lifesaving strategies hosted by national experts. If you want to learn how to save more parvo puppies, build a community cat program to decrease euthanasia, or reduce your length of stay with progressive adoption policies, we are here to connect you with a session and an experienced professional that can help. The conference offers an invaluable opportunity to network and form vital relationships with your colleagues that are facing the same challenges as you every day. We come together to celebrate your victories and to find solutions to common problems, because collectively we can save more lives and have happier animals while doing it.
In addition to our learning sessions, we will be hosting discussions on how we can elevate the impact of sheltering organizations across the Midwest through collaborative efforts. Join our round table discussions to brainstorm how building a rescue network in our region could help your organization. Do you need help with transport to move animals out of your shelter? Are you looking for a way to communicate with other professionals in our region for advice on hot topics, such as protocols for treating upper-respiratory disease, meeting the behavioral needs of dogs in the shelter, or building a big, bad marketing campaign? The conference will serve as an opportunity for us to lay the ground work for ongoing collaboration and networking that will help your organization save more animals.
The 2019 Midwest Animal Sheltering Conference will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia, MO on October 19-20, 2019. An early bird registration rate of $79 will be available beginning June 1st, 2019, and your registration fee will include all sessions and workshops, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and the Saturday evening networking event at Logboat Brewing Company.
